In Blind Truth, Lingua explores the tension between perception and reality through his signature technique of gel ink on cloth paper. A figure’s face is veiled and bound, inscribed with the phrase “Nothing is coincidence,” prompting viewers to question what lies beneath surface appearances—both literal and figurative. The eyes are closed, as if by force or choice, while the mouth appears in mid-expression, suspended between silence and revelation. The ink flows like thought—layered, raw, and charged with intention. This piece challenges us to consider the truths we accept blindly and the power behind what is seen versus what is hidden. The dynamic use of color and shading draws the eye toward the subject's emotional gravity, illuminating both vulnerability and defiance.
