Las Olas Capital Arts is proud to present the 27th Reception, featuring a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Michael Edwards (@linguafineart). Curated by Jodi Jeffreys-Tanner, this special evening celebrates Edwards’ luminous gel ink artworks—pieces that blend intricate detail, emotional storytelling, and a multi-sensory experience that shifts under both natural and UV light.

Known professionally as Lingua, Michael Edwards has developed a distinctive method using gel pens, glitter pens, and black ink on cold-pressed cloth paper. Each portrait and dreamlike composition is meticulously crafted through thousands of precise strokes, merging realism, abstraction, and mythic imagination. His work explores themes of transformation, mythology, identity, and the divine feminine, inviting viewers to look closer and discover hidden layers of meaning

Every line contributes to a larger whole—“Every Line Holds Meaning, Every Glow Tells a Story.”

This reception is part of Las Olas Capital Arts’ mission to support and uplift local artists by providing a platform to showcase their work. All exhibited pieces will be on view for four months, with 100% of sales directly benefiting the artist.
